Because we are a volunteer organization, Chi Alpha cannot provide any more information regarding homeschooling than what can be found here on our website. Any questions submitted to Chi Alpha regarding homeschooling will be referred to our website.

Numerous websites can answer your questions about homeschooling. Do a Google search and you will be amazed. One helpful website is the Georgia Home Educators Association. Also, check with your local school board. Most school districts have a website and you can find the appropriate forms on those websites without ever leaving your home. The State Board of Education will have these forms if your local board does not have a website. Once you have filled out the proper forms, you pick out your curriculum and you are ready to plan for the upcoming year.

Verse of the Day

Matthew 28:18-20
“Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

I’m so proud! I have known Kellie since high school. Yearbook staff, out with our big group of friends. She even survived going on a family vacation with us and a passel of cousins. She and I ended up at the same college. We got away together for scrapbook retreats when both our families were [...]
  • Daily Audio Bible and other learning links
With one click, we were listening. Scripture, over the clamor of this regular morning. Syrup stickiness from microwaved, freezer pancakes. Pajamas still in a heap on the floor. • You are God’s Building
The Habit of Writing – Part Two It’s not important who does the planting, or who does the watering. What’s important is that God makes the seed grow. The one who plants and the one who waters work together with the same purpose. And both will be rewarded for their own hard work. For we [...]
  • Planning on Purpose
Over the summer, Tricia wrote about planning and goal setting while on vacation. I was so inspired by her post. She talked about how she took some time to specifically pray and plan for each child. I wondered why I hadn’t tried it before. I was reminded then what an incredible opportunity we have in [...]
  • Thank you notes the fun way
The Habit of Writing, Part One Time to write thank you notes! (Shhh – My children think they are getting out of handwriting for the school day). That’s because it’s fun! When we compose thank you notes we are: pulling out scrapbook or construction paper to make note cards using stickers, paint, markers, crayons drawing, [...]
